The main reason I created the 10-Day Smoothies For Weight Loss Challenge was so that I could show you how easy, fast, and delicious it can be to use smoothies for weight loss. To be honest, you can never find a more amazing way to transform your health in so little time.
So, are you ready to take the first step towards this goal? This series shows you 10 sumptuous smoothie recipes to take in the next 10 days. Every couple days, I’ll be sending you two smoothies to prepare and consume.

Day 1- Apple-Ginger Detox Smoothie
Are you looking for a delicious way to keep your body energized and detoxified? Ginger, ginger, spinach and an assortment of other ingredients (as we’ll see below) will serve as a great combination to keep you one step away from your doctor especially for people with type A blood. The green light list also keeps you full all day if you’re looking forward to lose weight and maintain good shape.
Apples offer not only sweetness but also plenty of fiber. Additionally, they contain a powerful antioxidant- quercetin – which prevents the degeneration of the brain cell and also reduces Alzheimer’s disease. Cucumbers, on the other hand, will keep you hydrated all day. Ginger offers the spicy taste and the cleansing effect your body needs more so that when the season of sickness kicks in, your body’s immune system is on point.
If the blend feels a bit too spicy (because of Ginger), you can add just a few drops of water or ice to thin it down. Chia seeds are also incredibly crucial as they act as a source of omega 3s.
This green smoothie is loaded with nutrients and vitamins with a delicious, grassy background flavor. The good thing is that you only need to follow a few simple steps with these readily available ingredients to make the perfect detox smoothie.

Ingredients
- 1 cup filtered water
- 4 apples seeded and cored (do not peel)
- 2 medium organic cucumbers (wash and leave the skin on)
- 1 cup of organic spinach
- 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
- 6 stalks of celery (finely chopped)
- 1 inch section fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced)
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional)
- Plant based protein powder (optional)
Instructions
Place all the ingredients (except ice if any) in a high speed blender and process until smooth. Serve cold.
